Illinois is a mask mandate state. Why is this so important? Cases in the Rockford, Illionis area are going up and the hospitals are filling up, especially Swedish American Hospital. Now, that hospital has restrictions of adults who desire to visit their loved ones. Can you imagine not being able to see your loved one due to restrictions being placed due to Covid patients who refuse to obey the mandate?

People say mandates are stupid, yet we have mandates we obey all the time. You don’t think so? What about seatbealts?

Steve Chirico, republican, backed Joe Biden; but wants the Governor to lift the mask mandate. In a similar post, I wrote that I believe the real issue is what we consider truth. People will not wear a mask because they believe if others say they are vaccinated then they will believe there is not way of them catching Covid. However, there are those who are not truthful in their vaccination just because they don’t want to wear a mask. As a result, they are at risk of catching this desease. After all, let’s look at Aaron Rodgers from the Green Bay Packers. He lied about being vaccinated, yet others look up to him. Youths look up to him. What type of example is he setting by lying about something that can take a life? Not everyone is truthful and America suffer due to their sins.

Then we have those who will wear their mask below their nose. They don’t understand how they caught Covid. They don’t understand how it can happen to them when they have on a mask. Wrong! They are not wearing their mask properly. Do you or do you not breath in and out of your nose? Cases in Illinois are on the rise, not to mention Rockford. Swedish American Hospital is filling up fast with Covid victims, yet people still don’t take this seriously. The mayor and Winnebago County Health Department promise to keep us safe. In fact, I heard something of providing fines for business that refuse to adhere by the mandate, yet I don’t see or hear of any consequences of breaking this mandate. It appears the mayor and the county health department is more concerned with the amount of money flowing to make the rich more rich while the sick dies. Is that life worth it? Is that life worth the fine you may impose for a business who willingly break the rules? I remember telling the mayor and the health department of another issue that I had with a business and nothing was done. To this day, that business, and other businesses, are not adhering by the mandate, nor are they adhering to social distancing. Why do I care? My mother’s life is at risk. Why do I care? My fiance’s life is at risk. Why do I care? The freedoms of others who are selfish are disregarding the freedoms of others. Why do I care? People are willing to hurt others just because they don’t want to do what is right. Illinois rather die as a state that cannot fight Covid just like Florida, Texas, and other southern states that are fully opened without the regard to life.

Why am I very concerned about these sets of pictures within a Popeye’s 251 location in Rockford, Illinois? Simple… there is a mask mandate in the entire state of Illinois. That means masks must still be worn in public indoor spaces in Illinois for those over the age of two and able to medically tolerate a face mask – regardless of vaccination status

Illinois is one of 6 states that still has this mandate. Why? The Governor said we are running out of time as hospital beds are filling up. Illinois is showing a positivity rate of around 5.7% in all 102 counties.

It is hard to believe that people desire to be so free and express their “freedom” when their freedom complicates other people’s freedom. I am tired of hearing commercials of people who state they wish they were vaccinated or they wished they wore a mask to protect themselves and their families. Has it really came to this… regret once that situation becomes your reality?

All across the Rockford area, signs like this is posted. People wear masks in the hospitals without fussing or complaining, yet refused to wear a mask in other businesses because they believe it will never happen to them. Really? I believe the real issue is the establishments are not enforcing this rule and until employees can wear their masks correctly, how can they enforce this rule? The governing body behind every establishment is that all mighty green – not lives.

I remember sending a Tweet with while tagging the mayor of Rockford and the Winnebago County Health Department. I have done this before… months before regarding other businesses yet nothing is being done to make sure businesses are adhering to the Governor’s mandate. Why? I believe it is due to the interest of money. Money… that term is not used often, but it has a great impact on life. The Goverment would rather see money being transpired throughout the city of Rockford, and maybe other cities, in hopes to keep the businesses running. What good is keeping businesses running when people may not be around to spend the money they are hoping for? Swedish American Hospital is filled with Covid patients as this is being written. Unfortunately, the majority of Covid patients are not vaccinated. Due to the rise in cases, Swedish American Hospital is restricting adult guests to visit their loved ones in the hospital. Imagine that! What if YOU cannot visit someone in the hospital because they have Covid and they cannot hear you or see you and unfortunately; they pass? Can you imagine that?

I believe most people do not want to wear mask because they believe the vaccinated are very honest in saying they are. Therefore, why should they wear a mask if others are vaccinated? What they fail to realize is the fact of others not being vaccinated who refuse to wear masks and refused to get vaccinated. Others say they wear a mask and still came down with Covid. Are you sure you are wearing your mask correctly? Wearing a mask correctly means the mask covers both your mouth and your nose, not just your mouth. I have others say… “you are fully vaccinated so why should it matter?” Attitudes like this is why this country is so much in trouble with people and their selfish ways. Some argue that what use is the vaccine if we come down with Covid anyway, IF there is such a thing? Having the vaccine will only insure those who may get Covid will not be hospitalized and that was said over and over again by the CDC. Those who get the flu vaccine can still get sick, just not as bad. As with ANY vaccine, you may still get sick, but the risks are not as great as if you were not vaccinated. Look at what happened to Chris Christie, from Jersey.

I will continue to take pictures. I will continue to write about the injustice of those who continueoulsy break the mandates due to their “freedoms;” regardless if they infridge on other people’s freedoms. It just amazes me that the mayor nor Winnebago County Health Department refuse to do anything about this. What does this means to me? If they are not helping to ratify the issue by holding the establishments responsible, then they are helping others get Covid by allowing this to continue. Not giving companies a fine because they don’t want to pushing them for trying to make a living is a result of the rise in Covid cases.
